1. What’s the difference between In-home Packages and Board & Train?
In-home packages are designed for issues that can be worked on with the family in the home environment. They are cost-effective but may not be the best choice for severe behavioral problems or if the household itself is contributing to the dog’s stress. Many dogs actually benefit from time away from their owners and territory to reset and find balance.
Board & Train allows the trainer to work with your dog daily in a structured environment, without stress factors like emotional owners or unbalanced pack members interfering.
2. How do I know if I need Board & Train or In-home Lessons?
It depends on your dog’s needs and your household dynamic.
In-home lessons are best if you want hands-on coaching, involvement in every step, and your dog’s issues are manageable with family participation.
Board & Train is recommended if your dog struggles with severe behavior problems, aggression, reactivity, or needs to break free from unhealthy routines at home. It’s also ideal if your schedule makes consistent training difficult. We also recommended Board & Train for dog owners with busy schedules or planning vacation giveaways.
